Abruzzi sea

The sea of Abruzzi is accessible from its 129 kilometers of beaches kissed by the sun and is characterized by its bivalent nature. The north (Martinsiucro-Tortoreto-Ortona) is low and sandy and is a favorite destination for holidays by the sea children: the beach of fine, golden sand beaches with spacious and even 300 meters in some places, the dunes that cut the boundary between the beach and the typical Mediterranean scrub pine and tamarisk trees offering shade shelters fragrant resin (Seven Sisters on the Abruzzi sea).  The south coast (Ortona-San Salvo) is more rocky coves and headlands alternating and varied, with cliffs and small coves features pebbly coves where you can dive with the mask to scrutinize the rich depths of life.

The green heart of Abruzzi

The sea of Abruzzi is all this and more: it is also the gateway to the hinterland 'green heart of Europe' for its rich natural heritage of forests, valleys, springs and high altitude meadows, jealously protected by parks and reserves. But there is also room for the history and architecture; Abruzzi, mindful of its past as a communication land between Rome and the Adriatic Sea, has preserved as relics villages, castles, abbeys and hermitages. This is a unique connunbio that makes sailing holiday in Abruzzi a wonderful opportunity to combine the sea, tastes, culture, recreation and nature. You can spend the morning at the beach, between tintarelle and sea bathing, having a break at the hotel with lunch and then leave, during the summer afternoons, towards inner areas tours.

Abruzzi today

Ceased Bourbon domination, Abruzzi became a province of the Kingdom and will follow the fate of the other Italian regions. Kissed by the cultural and artistic ferment of the poetry of d'Annunzio, the thought of Benedetto Croce and painting of Michetti, Abruzzi, very mountainous region, remains one of the most virgin areas of Eruopa. The coastal resorts are continuing to develop as the mountain areas are being depopulated. The expanses of sandy beaches, the pleasant and relaxing hilly appearance, the charm of the great mountain ranges, the quiet archaic forms of life, the lively folk aspects, the wealth of historic and artistic heritage, pure folk tradition and human aspects are Abruzzi characteristic that make it unique.
